Lottery tickets at Safeway cost $2, and you can phone the store beforehand to confirm that it’s available. You can also use Safeway’s online locator to find a store near. You’ll see the store’s operating hours and their contact number.

Once the store confirms that they have lottery tickets, ensure to carry cash on your way there. The reason is that Safeway won’t accept debit or credit cards, gift cardsSafeway for U cards, or rewards cards from another store as payment for lottery tickets.

State laws also apply to the purchase of lottery tickets. So ensure to check with the store if they have age restrictions on purchasing lottery tickets. You will have to show them a valid ID to verify your age if they do.
