What types of Amazon gift cards does Safeway sell?

  • Classic Amazon gift cards: $10 (comes as a pack of 3), $25, $50, 100.
  • Occasion gift cards: range from $25 to $500.

  • Prime cards: $15 and $50.

Currently, Amazon gift cards on Safeway’s website are not eligible for home delivery. So you’d have to go in-store to purchase them.

What other gift cards does Safeway sell?

Safeway also sells gift cards from third-party entertainment brands like AMC Theatres, Atom Tickets, Barnes & Noble, PlayStation Store, Cinemax, Fortnite, and more.

For groceries and food delivery services, Safeway sells gift cards from DoorDash, Domino’s, Hooters, McDonald’s, Starbucks, and more.

For communication and internet service providers, Safeway sells gift cards from AT&T Prepaid, Boost Mobile, T-Mobile, Verizon, Virgin Mobile, and others.

The gift cards range from $10 to $500 and are one-time purchases, so you shouldn’t expect to pay additional fees to get them. You can also choose to buy them as single units or in bulk. But MasterCard and Visa gift cards attract an activation fee, which costs up to $6.

Gift cards that Safeway doesn’t sell

Unfortunately, Safeway doesn’t sell gift cards from the following stores:

Other stores you can buy Amazon gift cards from

Here are some participating stores that sell Amazon gift cards:

Albertsons

Albertsons is owned by Albertsons Inc., the same company that runs Safeway. So you can buy Amazon gift cards in most of the stores. But like Safeway, Albertsons doesn’t deliver Amazon gift cards.

7-Eleven

7-Eleven sells Amazon gift cards, as well as Netflix, Xbox, Uber gift cards, and more.

Best Buy

Best Buy sells Amazon gift cards, but you won’t find it on their website. It’s best to use their store locator to find a branch near you. They have a Kindle display stand in most stores, so check there first. If you can’t find it, ask the staff to direct you.

Kroger

Kroger sells Amazon gift cards in-store and online, though they’re only eligible for curbside pickup. In the end, you still have to go to the store. In addition, the gift cards are deactivated at the collection points and require at-home activation for security purposes.
